Music Release: Exporting Nepotism

This one's called Exporting Nepotism. Uses the VSTis Poizone and Vanguard. Composed in FL Studio. Includes a sample from Austin Powers/Goldmember, where Goldmember, in his funny Dutch accent goes "Welcome to 1975 Austin Powers and father". I don't really know how to classify the music, but I'd say its somewhere between Goa, old school dance and house - I just call it "techno". Unclassifiable techno. Like Underworld. Or CJ Bolland? Excuse the garish cover.

Young Folks/Ultimate House Party [Deconstruction]

I was at one of these gaming stores with a friend when I heard this really catchy track I'd heard on the radio a couple of months back, but hadn't downloaded until now. Its called "Young Folks" and is by a Swedish band called Peter, Bjorn and John, featuring Victoria Bergsman. Watch the video here (courtesy Youtube).

Also, got a hold of "Love Me Now" by Secret Knowledge, which I first heard on an album called "Ultimate House Party", out on the now defunct Deconstruction [BMG] in, I'd say 1997, back in India.

It holds some good memories - besides being my initiation into the sounds of Monkey Mafia, Lionrock and Death in Vegas, I blew up half the money I was meant to give my little cousin sister for Raksha Bandhan. Luckily, she was only a week or so old, so she couldn't complain to my grandpa about the shortfall.

Music Release: Afro Dizzy Axe (Viagra Tiagra Mix)

Aphrodisiacs, Afro Dizzy Axe. This one's been lying on my hard disk for a while, languishing whilst OurMedia goes into purported Alpha release mode. Seriously, that site fucking drives me nuts sometimes. Downtime, authentication issues, scripting errors, lost media. Far out.

If only Google would let you host MP3s on Blogger.
Anyway, yeah. So I'm having trouble classifying my music as always - can't seem to stick to one genre at a time, which is probably a result of listening to a variety of styles. This one shifts between ambient and dub, but isn't either, or an amalgamation.

Cannabanoid By Step (A New Kids On The Block vs Cosmosis Mashup Release)

DJ Cow Tse Tung is proud to present the next in our "Another Low Quality Mix" series of crazy mashups, by bringing together one of the 90s favorite boy bands, and amongst the foremost goatrance/psy producers from the same era...

New Kids On The Block and Cosmosis meet in a mash clash of the genres, in "Cannabanoid By Step", which borrows from their respective hits, "Step By Step" and "Cannabanoid".

Qwerty Pwerty (The Digital Divide)

I'm becoming the poor man's version of Bluetech, OTT, and Shpongle. Here's an ambient dub track I call "Qwerty Pwerty", which deals with the pressing issue of the ever-widening digital divide. "HOW", you might ask...well, listen to the percussion, and you'll realize I can't afford decent VSTi drumkits or virtual drum-machines.

The track's been out for a while now, but I just didn't have the time to do my one of my fake press releases on this blog. Listen, or download free mp3.
