Okay, time for a new release again. This one is called Mass Hypnotism, and is my musical commentary on the Barack Obama effect. I was very disappointed that the masses didn't pick the experience of John McCain, choosing instead to fall for Obama's populist rhetoric, but anyway, America is not my country and the trillion dollar deficit is their problem.
The track has been created using Albino and Blue VSTi's, and was composed in FL Studio, with finishing touches added in Ableton Live 6. I also used the Fruity Parametric Equalizer for the first time - and its not a bad effect at all! The genre is bigbeat, but with the dark undertones, I'd even call it an upbeat trip-hop track!
I can feel every muscle and sinew(ache) in my body today. Even ones I never knew existed. All thanks to a mind-boggling 6 hours of Darklight laser tagging, where I fared reasonably alright (rankings of 5, 4, 9, 14, 21, 19, 1, 3). So, as a result of not being able to move without considerable discomfort, I decided to kill time by "fixing" up some Bollywood tracks to suit my own quirky taste in music.
With the quantity of unfinished music I release in the name of experimentalism and creative overflows, I could be competing with Muslimgauze pretty soon, the only differences being that he had talent, was signed to a label and was a rebel with a cause.
We stick to the Bollywood theme, continuing from the previous couple of releases. And these aren't the regular Bollywood mashups, mixed to hip-hop beats, and some boring kid trying his hand at rapping. They all have a distinctly digital/electronic flavor to them, because that's pretty much the only kind of music I like.

After the recent mashup overdose, I'm back to my beloved FL Studio, tweaking and releasing tracks that were probably ready to see daylight a few weeks back. This particular track's been under composition for a little over 2 months. I can't seem to decide what genre it fits into, and whether its even ready to be published, but hey, can't be buggered working on it anymore. Its meant for someone I hadn't seen in almost a decade. I call it "9 Years On", and it probably sounds like the Crystal Method meeting some Nordic ambient outfit. Listen here, or download free mp3.
Y'know what I'd really like to do next? Work with a vocalist and a graphic designer. Collaborate. Maybe even join hands with a master-tweaker, as I focus on composition.
In other news, my car's written off thanks to a recent accident, and I now own a brand new second hand Honda Civic. Also went and saw Borat last Saturday, which was a big letdown. All the gags are on the TV adverts for the flick, which basically means you've seen it all before you've even seen it. I used to be a big Borat fan when it was a little skit on Ali G - and maybe that's how it should be. 80 odd minutes of this guy put me to sleep.
