Haal Kaisa Hai Gutbuster Ka (A Bollywood Mashup featuring Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle pitted against Bentley Rhythm Ace)

I can feel every muscle and sinew(ache) in my body today. Even ones I never knew existed. All thanks to a mind-boggling 6 hours of Darklight laser tagging, where I fared reasonably alright (rankings of 5, 4, 9, 14, 21, 19, 1, 3). So, as a result of not being able to move without considerable discomfort, I decided to kill time by "fixing" up some Bollywood tracks to suit my own quirky taste in music.

With the quantity of unfinished music I release in the name of experimentalism and creative overflows, I could be competing with Muslimgauze pretty soon, the only differences being that he had talent, was signed to a label and was a rebel with a cause.

We stick to the Bollywood theme, continuing from the previous couple of releases. And these aren't the regular Bollywood mashups, mixed to hip-hop beats, and some boring kid trying his hand at rapping. They all have a distinctly digital/electronic flavor to them, because that's pretty much the only kind of music I like.

Hippie Tera Mastana (A Bollywood Mashup; Kishore Kumar vs Adrian Sherwood)

If you love bands like Gotan Project, and artistes like Bebel Gilberto, you'd do well to get hold of 60s and 70s Bollywood music. Anyway, so this is my first trip into supposedly lacking-in-credibility Bollywood mashup-making.



Featuring the reggae-tinged Bollywood hit, from the movie Aradhana, "Roop Tera Mastana", with On-U Sound kingpin, Adrian Sherwood's Indian tinged dub track from his fabulous solo release, Never Trust A Hippy, "Hari Up Hari", DJ Cow Tse Tung and MC Rasta D'Sasta are proud to present, "Hippie Tera Mastana", featuring vocals by Bollywood playback singer and actor, Kishore Kumar. Moaning Cash Machine (Hard Fi vs Underworld Mashup Release)

Been a while since I posted a mashup. This one pits two great British acts, and might I say, both have dance-rock allegiances.

Expedition to Serpo (Ufology Politricks Edit)

I find ufology fascinating, and tend to swing between the extremes of fanatical believer and die-hard skeptic. Here's a little something that makes use of my favorite preset on the Novation V-Station softsynth/VSTi, and samples Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, JFK, and Star Trek.

Might be an idea for the Cricket World Cup organizers to use this track as their official song. Yea, right!



Not my favorite mix, but someone else out there might like it - yeah, after months of avoiding this mashup, I've finally succumbed to search engine pressure (rrrrright - hardly get any visitors here)...presenting 10cc's "Dreadlock Holiday" with the Drumattic Twins' "Start of Something" in "Start Of A Dreadlock Holiday". Been listening to Enter Shikari, a British trance-rock band, or so they call these guys. Not a new concept, as much as the media would have you believe, but the sound is great. "Spawn" OST reborn.

Spawn: The Album was released in July 1997 and brought together popular rock bands at the time including Metallica, Korn, Marilyn Manson and Silverchair with well known DJs and producers such as The Crystal Method, Roni Size, and Atari Teenage Riot. A similar concept was previously implemented on the rock/hip-hop fused Judgement Night soundtrack. The album debuted at #7 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and stayed in the chart for 25 weeks.

Murder By Proxy

George W. Bush has avenged his father, George Bush Sr. Some call it an execution, the law catching up with the lawless. I think its murder by proxy. Shame on everyone who calls this is a victory for the righteous. This is Bush's way of salvaging some lost pride over Iraq and extracting revenge on a sworn enemy of his immediate family, not justice for Saddam Hussein's injustices.

I didn't feel like adding too many samples to this one, even though I'm building up quite a collection of Bushism WAV files/audio clips.
