In fact, I even considered making this a double album - perhaps I can release Volume 4 within the year.</span><br />

I close off with an Ennio Morricone epilogue to give your ears some much-deserved peace. Enjoy!<br />

For all detractors who want the RDA's ex-Marine mercenaries and the tribal inhabitants of Pandora to spurt out complex, pseudo-philosophical dialogues, please watch the movie for what it is, and enjoy the experience. James Cameron has created a masterpiece with such depth (if you're willing to "see"), that I'm finding it terribly difficult to shrug off the messages this movie contained. From a spiritual viewpoint, I'm especially fascinated by Zahelu - what a great concept - the "bond" between all living things. Also, the phrase "I see you" - much like the true meaning of "Namaste", which I was once told by a White South African convert to Hinduism is about greeting people's inner spiritual goodness. And finally, how every living thing was connected - a network of networks, sans the en masse silicon micro-chipping of all things living and dead. </p><p>Also, I've decided to rename my latest dub techno/minimalist release under the Cow Tse Tung Sound System nom de plume, using our favorite VSTi, the Cakewalk Z3TA to "Zahelu 2154" instead of the work-in-progress name of "Househunter" (I started writing this track in 2007 whilst hunting for my first home, but put it the track on the backburner, because I couldn't get the right sound from whatever VSTi I was using then). Reminds me of Panopticon and early 90s Leftfield. </p><p><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Zahelu</span></b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">,</span><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"> make the bond</span></b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">!</span></p><p>Listen online for free on Ourmedia, <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cow-Tse-Tung-Sound-System/31360047666?ref=ts">Facebook</a>, <a href="http://www.ilike.com/artist/Cow+Tse+Tung+Sound+System/track/Zahelu+2154">iLike </a>or <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Cow+Tse+Tung+Sound+System/_/Zahelu+2154">Last.fm</a>. This one is called Mass Hypnotism, and is my musical commentary on the Barack Obama effect. I was very disappointed that the masses didn't pick the experience of John McCain, choosing instead to fall for Obama's populist rhetoric, but anyway, America is not my country and the trillion dollar deficit is their problem.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijkPY_cETYeIj5wKA6tu1DrtQ5hVxiv8MHop2ijkxdzahOBCWRfj1fhK5FM5Pr9cI4tbaid7SryaOowD6zgUD9iKyDmDrg_dDqiHKg9RHO0K_4aGNstW-0p4vQNaBJmlMnsrjKuA/s1600-h/masshypnotism_cvr.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijkPY_cETYeIj5wKA6tu1DrtQ5hVxiv8MHop2ijkxdzahOBCWRfj1fhK5FM5Pr9cI4tbaid7SryaOowD6zgUD9iKyDmDrg_dDqiHKg9RHO0K_4aGNstW-0p4vQNaBJmlMnsrjKuA/s400/masshypnotism_cvr.jpg" alt="Cow Tse Tung Sound System - Mass Hypnotism Cover" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313043350201223410" border="0" /></a><br /><br />The track has been created using Albino and Blue VSTi's, and was composed in FL Studio, with finishing touches added in Ableton Live 6. Yes, from the refrains of a high-pitched, Indianized rendition of Bob Marley' "Buffalo Soldier" with lyrics talking about dates at "chowks" (roundabouts) to Jah Screechie's "Walk and Skank" becoming a refrain about a spoilt brat?!<br />I give up. Damn. I'd put 'em all on an external Maxtor storage device, and one fine day, I get a Windows Write Delay error. I ignore it, unplug and replug the USB device, and one fine day, to my astonishment, the directory structure has become a massive blob of nothingness. Now that I've fucked up Superannuation/Wealth Management certification exam, I might get around to fixing my multitude of computer woes. Actually, I haven't "just" lost the data- its been lost for a week or thereabouts, hence the repeat tracks on my Last.fm XML feed. Yes, I have limited choice in music, finally. And my anivirus has run out - time to format the hard disk, or make a visit to "FreeBay". HAHA! So yes, while I really want to release a new track, my 20 or so half-ready compositions have been "lost".<br /><br />Next up, <a href="http://remainsofthedesi.wordpress.com/">Fadereu</a>, "that" IIT dude who ran <a href="http://desimediabitch.blogspot.com/">CSF/DesiMediaBitch</a> has come up with <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwXqP1CQw5c">this fascinating piece of audio-video technology</a>.<br /><br />Whilst on YouTube, I love <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/LisaNova">LisaNova</a> - she's hot, she's funny, her accents crack me up, and she's going to be famous as. Its called "Young Folks" and is by a Swedish band called <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Bjorn_and_John">Peter, Bjorn and John</a>, featuring Victoria Bergsman. Watch the video here (courtesy <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51V1VMkuyx0">Youtube</a>).<br /><br /><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/51V1VMkuyx0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/51V1VMkuyx0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object><br /><br />Also, got a hold of "Love Me Now" by Secret Knowledge, which I first heard on an album called "Ultimate House Party", out on the now defunct Deconstruction [BMG] in, I'd say 1997, back in India. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifiM-kaR6DTEE9np7nLY0v0nhGFbyR5402I0hOann7LBpO7RT3NE14ye_4DFshSmxp-du97AejwLltKBB0WK7MwK42EeYdb4la-skfSi_BmurZyB6_gXLbKgKrIJyo44KhLzrQpQ/s1600-h/uhp.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifiM-kaR6DTEE9np7nLY0v0nhGFbyR5402I0hOann7LBpO7RT3NE14ye_4DFshSmxp-du97AejwLltKBB0WK7MwK42EeYdb4la-skfSi_BmurZyB6_gXLbKgKrIJyo44KhLzrQpQ/s400/uhp.jpg" border="0" alt="Ultimate House Party"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5050668932953877746" /></a><br /><br />It holds some good memories - besides being my initiation into the sounds of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_Mafia">Monkey Mafia</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionrock">Lionrock</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_in_vegas">Death in Vegas</a>, I blew up half the money I was meant to give my little cousin sister for <span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakhi">Raksha Bandhan</a>. Far out.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjobSKAbWt_6qDT3ipZfHsS5FEs3fOrheaJ_6WIk0JQvf_wdTwl42Gzl7b2arJfAAWkZaeN91kaI9hLSu56KpLtldA_ZVYVLNGMnEQ52z0d-bANRA6zu6EAjfR3oGCCE1ZHGZ1DJg/s1600-h/afrodizzyaxe_cvr.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjobSKAbWt_6qDT3ipZfHsS5FEs3fOrheaJ_6WIk0JQvf_wdTwl42Gzl7b2arJfAAWkZaeN91kaI9hLSu56KpLtldA_ZVYVLNGMnEQ52z0d-bANRA6zu6EAjfR3oGCCE1ZHGZ1DJg/s400/afrodizzyaxe_cvr.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5050370746259418338" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">If only Google would let you host MP3s on Blogger.<br /></span>Anyway, yeah. So I'm having trouble classifying my music as always - can't seem to stick to one genre at a time, which is probably a result of listening to a variety of styles. This one shifts between ambient and dub, but isn't either, or an amalgamation.<br /><a href="http://www.archive.org/download/CowTseTungSoundSystemAfroDizzyAxe_1/CowTseTungSoundSystemAfroDizzyAxeViagraTiagraMix.mp3">Download free MP3</a> or <a href="http://www.ourmedia.org/node/306434">listen online</a>.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span>Xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12748118563203226673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34931909.post-34181550319458192522007-03-04T10:04:00.000+09:002007-03-04T20:40:54.307+09:00Cannabanoid By Step (A New Kids On The Block vs Cosmosis Mashup Release)DJ Cow Tse Tung is proud to present the next in our "Another Low Quality Mix" series of crazy mashups, by bringing together one of the 90s favorite boy bands, and amongst the foremost goatrance/psy producers from the same era...<br /><br /><img src="http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/5440/cannabanoidbystepcvrqf4.jpg" alt="New Kids On The Block vs Cosmosis Mashup" /><br /><br /><a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Kids_On_The_Block">New Kids On The Block</a> and <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.cosmosis.co.uk/">Cosmosis</a> meet in a mash clash of the genres, in "<span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Cannabanoid By Step</span>", which borrows from their respective hits, "<span style="font-style: italic;">Step By Step</span>" and "<span style="font-style: italic;">Cannabanoid</span>".<br /><br /><a href="http://www.ourmedia.org/node/298493">Listen online</a> or <a href="http://www.archive.org/download/DJCowTseTungCannabanoidByStep/NKOTBvsCosmosisCannabanoidByStep.mp3">download free MP3 now</a>!!Xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12748118563203226673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34931909.post-65322213236566169862007-02-09T18:31:00.000+09:002007-02-04T10:54:38.691+09:00Qwerty Pwerty (The Digital Divide)I'm becoming the poor man's version of Bluetech, OTT, and Shpongle. Here's an ambient dub track I call "Qwerty Pwerty", which deals with the pressing issue of the ever-widening digital divide. "HOW", you might ask...well, listen to the percussion, and you'll realize I can't afford decent VSTi drumkits or virtual drum-machines. <br /><br /><img src="http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/2954/qpwertycvrih7.jpg" alt="Qwerty Pwerty. Even ones I never knew existed. All thanks to a mind-boggling 6 hours of <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.darklight.info/">Darklight </a><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_tag">laser tagging</a>, where I fared reasonably alright (rankings of 5, 4, 9, 14, 21, 19, 1, 3). So, as a result of not being able to move without considerable discomfort, I decided to kill time by "fixing" up some Bollywood tracks to suit my own quirky taste in music.<br /><br />With the quantity of unfinished music I release in the name of experimentalism and creative overflows, I could be competing with Muslimgauze pretty soon, the only differences being that he had talent, was signed to a label and was a rebel with a cause. <br /><br />We stick to the Bollywood theme, continuing from the previous couple of releases. And these aren't the regular Bollywood mashups, mixed to hip-hop beats, and some boring kid trying his hand at rapping. They all have a distinctly digital/electronic flavor to them, because that's pretty much the only kind of music I like. <br /><br /><img src="http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/9360/kkabvsbracvrbn4.jpg" alt="Haal Kaisa Hai Janaab Ka vs The Theme From Gutbuster"><br /><br />The Cow Tse Tung Sound System proudly presents the next Bollywood mashup in the series, "Haal Kaisa Hai Gutbuster Ka", featuring the Asha Bhosle-Kishore Kumar hit from Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, "Haal Kaisa Hai Janab Ka" mashed up with "Theme From Gutbuster" by the prankster bigbeat duo of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentley_Rhythm_Ace">Bentley Rhythm Ace</a>, ex-Pop Will Eat Itself. <a href="http://www.ourmedia.org/node/289816">Listen now</a>, or <a href="http://www.archive.org/download/DJCowTseTungHaalKaisaHaiGutbusterKa_1/AshaBhosleandKishoreKumarvsBentleyRhythmAceHaalKaisaHaiGutbusterKa.mp3">download your MP3 copy</a> now.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro4nchxqmCE">Related Youtube video</a> from Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi:<br /><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ro4nchxqmCE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ro4nchxqmCE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>Xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12748118563203226673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34931909.post-27795096663877998312007-01-28T11:03:00.000+09:002007-01-29T20:46:33.055+09:00Hippie Tera Mastana (A Bollywood Mashup; Kishore Kumar vs Adrian Sherwood)If you love bands like Gotan Project, and artistes like Bebel Gilberto, you'd do well to get hold of 60s and 70s Bollywood music. Anyway, so this is my first trip into supposedly lacking-in-credibility Bollywood mashup-making.<br /><br /><img src="http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/8692/kishorevadriancvrud1.jpg" alt="Roop Tera Mastana meets Hari Up Hari in true Bollywood mashup fashion" /><br /><br />Featuring the reggae-tinged Bollywood hit, from the movie <span style="font-weight: bold;">Aradhana</span>, "Roop Tera Mastana", with On-U Sound kingpin, Adrian Sherwood's Indian tinged dub track from his fabulous solo release, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Never Trust A Hippy</span>, "Hari Up Hari", DJ Cow Tse Tung and MC Rasta D'Sasta are proud to present, "Hippie Tera Mastana", featuring vocals by Bollywood playback singer and actor, Kishore Kumar. As we lack credibility, I thought we'd go for incredibility. <a href="http://www.ourmedia.org/node/289815">Listen online NOW</a>, or <a href="http://www.archive.org/download/DJCowTseTungHippieTeraMastana_1/KishoreKumarvsAdrianSherwoodHippieTeraMastana.mp3">download free mp3</a>.<br /><br />The Cow Tse Tung translation of the lyrics is:<br />"<span style="font-style: italic;">Your figure is funky</span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">Make no mistakes while f*ckin</span>' ".<br />Crude and senseless? I know - but at least I didn't write the original lyrics.
