Criminal Intent

Everybody has a dream job. Personally, I'd like to be the equivalent of a CIO, COO or even a CFO in a criminal organization. C.T. Tung-san, CFO, Yakuza Nippon Pty. Ltd. Wiping my evil ass clean with dirty money, JPY (yen) in particular.

Symbol for 'Respect' in Kanji

RESPECT!
Don't mess with me or my army of ninjas will rip you to shreds.

I mean, you can still have a great work ethic and strong values, despite being on the wrong side of the law. If the Robin Hood glamorization of crime on television and Hollywood flicks affects me to such a degree, I wonder what the extent of the impact on younger people in my generation is like. Hopefully, they're not half as gullible as I am.

Astral Intervention (Visions of Kali Edit)

Like my old friend Feldfunker, I've come to the conclusion that my first release of any track is the shittiest. Which is why I give every single an "edit"/"mix" co-title. Please expect re-releases as and when I manage to make the sounds blend better.

Kali Maa, Shakti De!

This one's called "Astral Intervention" (no relation to the great goatrance outfit, Astral Projection!). A faux diamond. Needs a bit more work, but hey, my job is composition - somebody else can do the mixing. That's the lazy man's attitude. The track goes out to my brother.

We invoke Ma Kali for two reasons here - one, because this is an offshoot of a stagnant project, and two, because I believe those charlatans posing as astrologers need to feel the power of the Mother.

Wardriving With A Nokia E60

Optus phone insurance finally did my phone swap over the weekend. Like the honest little cow that I am, I clearly told them I'd dropped my old 6820 on numerous occassions in Australia, India and Thailand. The wanker from Optus Insurance/Customer Claims Unit (1800 501 971), a curt dude called R**k goes, "dropped it overseas? Not covered, thanks and bye". Fucking asshole. I eventually lodged a complaint, and a claim, so this is a bittersweet victory of sorts. I now own a cool new Nokia E60.

While this is my first phone in over 4 years sans a traditional QWERTY, or even a modified Nokia keyboard, the mobile has some really nifty features, including:
- WLAN connectivity: I can go wardriving with my mobile!!
- Voice commands: I have like a goatrance ringtone, with this computerized voice going, "DINESH GANESH", or "JORDAN WANNABE", or whatever weird name I've tagged my contacts with. Its very "Boom Shankar". Don Shiva would be proud of me.
- Bluetooth: I can exchange pictures and shit without the need for wasting precious pennies on the dreaded MMS format.
- GPS: Haven't used this just yet - might prove to be pretty costly.
That's all I really care about. For more information, click here.

The one issue that I did encounter with the new phone was not being able to send SMSs, with a message saying "unable to send SMS" coming up every time I tried. This was easily solved by Optus Mobile support, who advised playing with my Message Centre settings, and swapping the existent number on my current Message Centre profile with one supplied by my service provider, viz. YES Optus. The name of the default message centre in this case is SMSC1, and the actual number to use is +61411990001.

In other news, I'm trying to figure out a way to restrict effects to a single Pattern in FL Studio, but I just can't get it. Maybe its time to give Acid and Reason a shot.

M16 Diplomacy

In honour of the great Thai military coup, Cow Tse Tung Sound System presents a jungle track with production skills that would put to shame nobody, but my own self...and possibly Goldie of Metalheadz fame.
